Wallaby Will
It is a time of terrible drought. Wallaby Will and his friends have run out of grass in their paddocks and water in their creeks and they are VERY hungry and thirsty. Wallaby Will remembers that the Moppets’ garden has delicious things to eat and a lovely pond from which to drink and so, hopping over gates and ramps and fences, he leads his friends...lots and lots of wallaby friends...into the garden where they set about demolishing it.
Mrs Moppet is dismayed to see her garden disappear in this way, but after a while, she enjoys having these silent, soft, pretty creatures all around her. She knows that when life giving rain falls again, they will quietly leave and return to their wild places...and that is just what they do.
